LOL / Beauty creme
« on: Today at 09:51:34 AM »
A little boy is watching his mother at her nightly routine, and sees her putting her moisturizer all over her face..

"Mom, whatcha doin'?"

"Making myself beautiful." is her reply.

A few minutes later she begins wiping off the cream.

The little boy is confused, "Are you giving up already?"

How much do kayaks cost to rent up there?

Bob,

I am not aware of kayaks to rent at D7Ls, but you could call and ask.

Tying Chat / Simple shad?
« on: September 29, 2014, 09:43:55 AM »
I will tie the simple shad tomorrow. It worked so well on the Sabine River that I should re-introduce it to our club members.

Here a photo of what the fish were hitting at the rocks.

I will bring the tripod along with a video camera.  Is there somebody willing to operate the video camera?

We had some company on "cold water" but not enough to interfere with our fishing, or enjoyment of the area.  This young couple, another couple that we had met and Friday, and a group of 4 soldiers were the only people we saw all day on "cold water."

1000 and SRA decides to generate, running us off the water.  No longer was it safe to be in a kayak on that stretch.

This gives you an idea of how the water looks when the fog is lifting.

Fish weren't large.  But what they lacked in size they made up for in attitude and wiliness to bite.  As you see here with Rene's spotted bass.

If you ever wondered what fishing at daybreak in the generation canal was like...  This picture describes it best!

Crawford's fish camp back porch.  Where we spent most of our waking hours while there.
