Trip Description: . Camping overnight out on the barrier island behind the POC jetties.  This is a tough-it-out full bore outdoor experience where you might just catch anything.

About the area:.       Sand covered island surrounds just inside the POC jetty.  Great place to raise tents right next to the shoreline.  Chance to catch everything from Snook to tarpon.  Bring your heavier equipment.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  DO NOT COUNT ON CONTINUOUS BOAT SERVICE TO/FROM THE ISLAND OR FOR FISHING, UNLESS YOU BRING OR ARRANGE YOUR OWN!

Trip Description:      Carefully choose your favorite fly and catch as many fish with it as you can.  No fair changing fly, adding sweetner, once it breaks off or falls apart your done!  You can re-glue if necessary.  Winner is contestant who amasses the most total inches of GAMEFISH using his ONE FLY.

Directions: Google Port O'Connor Tx. Take 59 south to Ganado turn left to Hwy 35, take right to Port Lavaca and follow signs to Port O'Connor.

About the area:Grass and sand  flats everywhere.  Not easily fished from Kayak unless you are strong paddler or have a big boat to fairy you out. Front beach is hot right now too.

Trip Description: I talked to Marcos today and based on what he has heard, he suggested that we hit the Bolivar pocket near the North jetty. This would allow both kayaks & wading If the wind is not what want, we can slip over to the other side of the peninsula and fish Sievers Cut.
