Great report Mike.  Reading your description of places to fish, I was taken back to my youth on the Colorado River around Smithville. Exactly the same kind of holes and riffles I use to fish.

Wish I'd known about fly fishing back in the 40's.

Wonder why the club doesn't fish that area. Kevin H lives just outside of Smithville.

Executive Committee Meeting at Luling Meat Market - The second Tuesday after the monthly meeting, starting at 6:30 (LMM is near the northeast corner of Loop 610 and Richmond Blvd about a block toward downtown facing Richmond on the north side.)

The membership is encouraged to attend.
This meeting sometimes floats to accommodate work schedules. Check with a committee member before attending.

You did an excellent presentation in the video listed.
Why don't you move the pictures to the Picture Gallery for all to share in the future?
That slide show is also accessible from the home page. and will get moved to the Picture Gallery.
I also don't see the pictures from the October Fresh Water Outing that was given to you by Larry in the Gallery. Is that posible to be posted?
I have received no pictures for that outing.

Club Meetings are held at the Bayland Community Center in Bayland Park on the last Tuesday of the month.  The Harris County District 3 Bayland Park Community Center is located at 6400 Bissonnet Street, Houston, Texas 77074.  The phone number at the center is (713) 541-9951. Socializing starts around 6, meeting 7:30 and we are out by 9.

As we are registered with the state of Texas as a non-profit educational organization, we are actively teaching the find art of fly fishing.  Here is a slide show of some of our activities in October 2011 in conjuction with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept.

I think Chris and I past the newbee stage a few weeks ago. Why does this appear on our entries? Everyone knows how sensitive I am!

Cost: Bring your own provisions No anticipated cost (You may want to help your boat driver with a few dollars for his expenses, though.)

• Sign in and sign out at the launch site. Inform the trip leader if you will be launching in a different place.
