according to a review . it is mono.

I'm tentative on this. Just signed my 4-year old up for soccer and the 11th is his first game so if it's early enough we'll try to make it out afterwards. I've been roped into coaching. Don't laugh, I played a lot of soccer growing up and even earned 2 varsity letters in high school.

I've decided it's time to start teaching him the path of enlightenment and this is a perfect event.

I think I might pay to see you in a soccer uniform! LOL Dan

Do not know about the flyline. Wondering if you are using flurocarbon for leader which may be sinking the tip?

trying to get pic on post

Guide got a 9.8 lb 31.5 inch trout about 15 yards from me. I got a lot trout but no wall hanger. on orange large skitter walk.

I sure would like to see one. I think that is the fly he caught all the sheephead at last outing. I saw him do one.

We had one man cancel on us for trip. Have 2 going, Bryant and I. Driving down to Rivera on Thursday, fishing Friday and Saturday and driving back on Sunday. Have house rented on Baffin Bay which I think is $250 per night. Guide is Walt Kalinowsky.
Baitcasters for us but if you want to flyfish could probably do it blind casting.

May could take second person dedending on if Bryant friend cannot go and should know by Monday 3-2-15 late.

Dennis A. and I went over on Thursday and stayed at the Woodland Plantation  Bed&Breakfast to fish. We fished with Shane Mayfield (guide) on his Lostmen skiff. He told us the conditions did not look good before we left but we went anyway. We fished one day which was Friday and decided to come on home Saturday with winds at 25mph and gusting to 35. We were going to go in his bay boat and baitcast for reds.

We each caught 3 reds on fly Friday morning with decent winds before all hell broke loose. We got one more red about 8 lbs on spinner bait. We tried some topwater to no avail. We had a good time and great place to stay. The food was gourmet. I think for $70 per day we got breakfast, boat lunch and evening meal. The evening meal was over the top good.

Pictures of practice casting pond, the dining hall which was an old church, Dennis man of leisure and cabin. Friday night owner was shucking raw oysters for us. I could go on and on about the food.

General Discussion / Louisiana reciprosity with Texas fishing license

Look at page 7. States Texas residents over 65 with current Texas fishing lic may fish in Louisiana without buying La license. I had been looking for verification and I believe this covers it.

I would love to pole your Lostman sometime. Let me know when coming and I can take you into Greens Lake marsh for sight casting reds.
