I have volunteered to have a knot tying table at mini expo in August. I am not an expert in knots and will learn more than I know now. Asking for ideas from people who have presented before. Also would like for members to show me what knots they are using so I can pass them on.
I am thinking about having fly tying vises with hooks to practice on as well as large cords (1/4 inch) to visually see knots. I have the "Little Redbook of Knots" and a few others.
First trip to Port Mansfield. Was a bait casting trip with Captn Trisha from Skinny Water Adventures. I asked her about places to sight cast for redfish. I want to go back. We fished Friday and Saturday. I got two 24" trout on topwater on Friday and a 26" on Saturday. Got some reds on top also. She is a grinder. We waded only both days. Of course she outfished us.
Hey Adam, did you look at the lease papers? Call me
Dave Kelly put up my pics on the home page. There were some small bass and perch caught. Puck caught a talipia and has a picture. Figure that one was sent down the toilet We had a good time BS ing at the Citgo Station and had some decent BBQ and cold brews. Interesting seeing the flood plan around White Oak Bayou and all the empty lots and golf course. There were a few die hard people living in homes near the bayou.
