The release day for our 2014 TITC fish has been set for May 10th in Sattler, TX. We will have students and teachers from the 3 high schools present, along with the local GRTU reps to help us release our approximately 250 trout. If any TFF'ers want to join us you would be more than welcome - and we could certainly use the help! Message me for more details.
Here are some updated pictures of the fish from Mayde Creek HS
No - the St Arnolds Brewery one is still happening. There was supposed to be another in Houston at iFly. It was listed on the film tour website but when you try to buy tickets there was a message saying it had been cancelled.
Wow - i guess thats why they cancelled their showing of the Fly Fishing Film Tour this year....and there goes my idea for a new place to hold the club meetings. The wildfish theatre would have been perfect.
I agree they should have had a blow out sale though.
For those who may not have heard, there was a barge collision in Galveston Bay yesterday that has released an, as yet unknown, amount of marine fuel oil into the bay. The barge was carrying a million gallons but only one tank is believed to have spilled.
I whole heartedly agree with you. I never ceased to be amazed at those lifeless muddy holes in the ground that pass for a Houston developer's idea of "lakeside living". No reeds around the margins, no lillies or plants in the water. Even worse is the dreaded blue food coloring effect!
I guess for most people they dont see the difference - but anyone who is a fisherman does.
