Dennis A. and I went over on Thursday and stayed at the Woodland Plantation Bed&Breakfast to fish.http://www.woodlandplantation.com/
. We fished with Shane Mayfield (guide) on his Lostmen skiff. He told us the conditions did not look good before we left but we went anyway. We fished one day which was Friday and decided to come on home Saturday with winds at 25mph and gusting to 35. We were going to go in his bay boat and baitcast for reds.
We each caught 3 reds on fly Friday morning with decent winds before all hell broke loose. We got one more red about 8 lbs on spinner bait. We tried some topwater to no avail. We had a good time and great place to stay. The food was gourmet. I think for $70 per day we got breakfast, boat lunch and evening meal. The evening meal was over the top good.
Pictures of practice casting pond, the dining hall which was an old church, Dennis man of leisure and cabin. Friday night owner was shucking raw oysters for us. I could go on and on about the food.
