Trout in the Classroom - 2012

The TFF Trout in the Classroom fish were released in the Guadalupe on Saturday June 2nd by the students of the Katy High School Aquatic Science Class with the assistance of Jimbo Robert and Ron McAlpin from GRTU. Pictures below. This completes the project for this year - we will be starting again with the same school (and hopefully one more) late this year. The project was a great success with almost the full 100 fry making it to the river and was very popular with the teachers and the kids..

If you're wondering what these fish will grow up to be? Rainbow Trout. The stretch of river below Canyon Dam is rated as a world class trout fishery.
