The Texas Fly Fishers Fifteenth Annual Fly Tying Festival will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 in the gymnasium of the Bethany Christian Church, located between Eastside St. and Bammel Ln. on Westheimer Rd. in Houston TX. This is next to Lamar High School. We are striving for at least 60 tiers to be there on the floor tying for your benefit from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.
Our featured Guest Tier for this event will be C. Boyd Pfeiffer. Many of you know of Boyd from his very informative articles that have been published in the major fly tying journals. He has written numerous books, not all on fly fishing and tying, but two prominent ones in the latter category are "Bug Making" and " Complete Photo Guide to FLY TYING; 300 Tips, Techniques and Methods". He will have copies available for sale and to autograph, and will autograph copies that you already own if you bring them.
As an added attraction Ken Iwamasa has voluntered to tie at our festival this year. We are honored to have him come to Houston to join us in this event.

For those coming to the Festival who might want to spend a night or two in Houston, Texas FlyFishers (TFF) has reserved a block of rooms at the Four Point Sheraton, located at 2828 Southwest Fwy (U.S. 59) just inside the 610 West Loop. The special rate is $69.00 per night. To be guaranteed a room, you MUST make your reservations no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the Festival date (Feb. 3). After this date they cannot guarantee a room, but if they have one after that date, the rate will be the same. To get the special rate you MUST let them know that you will be attending the TFF Fly Tying Festival and that you want one of the blocked off rooms.
The admission fees to this event are $10.00 for adults, $14.00 family, $8.00 students, & $5.00 seniors over 62. Children under 12 are admitted free.
The church kitchen will have a spaghetti and meat sauce lunch available at a very reasonable price, and it is OUTSTANDING!
